brought us a fresh cup . . . which
was the correct thing to do . . .

`Oliver !' in 18th Week
at Bloomfield Theater

Marie Olcese, manager of the
Bloomfield Theater in Birmingham,
reports that the current attraction,

IN TOKYO. JAPAN, Suekiro'.
which modestly claims to be the
world's largest steak house, fea-
tures massaged beef . . . They
take their finest beef cattle, build
a pen around them so they can't
move, feed them on corn and then,
for exercise, they massage the
beast at least once a day .. . This
develops beef steaks with a heavy
marbling of fat . . . It is very
tender meat and very rich.

HERE'S THE RECIPE FOR a
wineburger, the most mouth-water.
ing, scrumshus and delicious mem-
ber of the hamburger family . . .
You can use any kind of ham-
burger but if you do it just right, it
will be a little better . . . You
should have a course ground ham-
burger meat with enough fat in it
to stay juicy . . (Most ground
I sirloin is too dry by the time it
comes off the fire.) ... Form your
meat into the classic hamburger
shape, about a third of a pound
will do nicely ... Now poke a few
holes in the surface ... Then pour
about an ounce or so of wine over
the meat and let it soak in for
about an hour . . . Flop this little
devil on the griddle and cook to
suit individual taste and you are
in for a rare treat . . . It might
be noted that over cooking will
defeat the purpose of what you are
trying to do.
MAN AND WIFE came into Dave
Burg's Golden Griddle on Wood-
ward S. of 13 Mile Rd. every day
of last week for the very delicious
Key Lime Pie ... They live in St.
Clair Shores and traveled the dis-
tance daily for their favorite
delicacy (lo-cal, too.) . . . until
Dave told them they didn't have
to come so far—he sells galores
of the whole pie.
