Delivered "HOT" — UN 4-7700
20050 Livernois, Just South of 8 Mile

ENTERTAINMENT NIGHTLY AFTER 2 A.M.

ASKED IF HIS LITTLE baby
brother could talk yet, 8-year-old
Bobby Seligman replied disgusted-
ly, "Naw, he can't. And why should
he learn? All Davie has to do is
yell a while and he can get every-
thing in the house worth having.
(They are the sons of Jack and
Molly Seligman.)
SY-TEENS BBG (Bnai Brith
Girls) Chapter. washed cars to
send their president, Jackie Cohen,
for six days at Schwartz' Resort
in Wisconsin, where the BBG Dis-
trict convention was being held.
. They took over the corner at 9
Mile and Greenfield to raise money
for the successful effort, with about
20 lassies washing 30 cars . . .
Jackie is a senior at Oak Park
High and works as a waitress for
Marty's Delicatessen in the Green-8
Shopping Center to save money
for a college education . . . (Won-
der if the girls wash their own
cars?)
BIGGEST MEETING OF THEM
ALL is set by Knights of Pythias,
Detroit 55. for July 8 . • . The
building on Wyoming is being sold
and the membership will vote to
accept or reject the proposal offer.
Five days later, July 13, K. of P.
55 holds its annual picnic at Dodge
Park, so there'll be plenty to talk
about between games, sunbathing,
swimming, etc.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS ... "So
he won't dim his brights eh? Then
I'll be darned if I dim mine."
CALLING SAMMY WOOLF,
songmaster supreme . . . Remem-
ber back in 1959 when you almost
didn't make it to your future son- ;
in-law's stag? . . . You and Lou
Babcock were out fishing for the
day on furniture man Phil Brad-
ley's 31-foot boat when a storm hit
Lake St. Clair . . . You would have
docked somewhere and spent the
night but all three were due at
the stag for Maury Cohen, who
was to marry your daughter Mar-
go . . . Above all, you just had to
be there! .. . So, "Captain" Brad-
ley really put his ship mastermind-
ing to work and battled the ele-
ments successfully to bring the
boat in on time . . . The lightning
and hail-like rain didn't stop Phil
. . . After all, through the years,
Sammy, you've given the sons-in-
laws of so many other folks a
happy send-off ... and you weren't
to be denied this . . . your very
own first!
BARRISTER HENRY BASKIN
tells of waiting in court until his
client's case was called . . . The
judge was reprimanding a drunk.
"You've been brought here for
drinking . . . "Okay" said the
souse, "lesh get started!"

Jocelyn's Gypsies Due

at Detroit Art Institute

Jocelyn and Her Gypsies will per-
form during "Detroit Happening
Week" 8 p.m. Tuesday in front of
the Detroit Art Institute. It will
mark the fourth year that the De-
partment of Parks and Recreation
and the Detroit Federation of Mu-
sicians has sponsored a gypsy
concert under Mrs. Krieger's lead-
ership.
A lyric soprano, she is the only
woman leader of an all-male gypsy
orchestra in the United States.
On July 16, she will make a solo
appearance with the Detroit Con-
cert Band under the direction of
Leonard Smith at the Remick Shell
on Belle Isle.
