into a new facility, at 14000 W.
Eight Mile, Oak Park.
Included are a cleaning plant
with modern machinery. equip-
ment and techniques: and a new
carpet gallery, a showroom of
creative carpet displays.
New display ideas have been
utilized to provide an informative
and comprehensive array of prac-
tical and luxurious carpeting. Car-
pets range from modest to expen-

Rappaport's pioneering efforts
have given the Electrical Recipro-

cal Council nationwide recognition

for its industry betterment pro-
gram, which promotes electrical
safety, education of apprentices,
journeymen, contractors and in-
spectors. He was chairman of the
council in Southeastern Michigan
for two terms and at present is a
member of its advisory committee.
Rappaport has served as mem-
bership chairman of the Michigan
Chapter of International Associa-
tion of Electrical Inspectors.

Born in Kiev in 1904, Rappa-
port came to the United States
with his family in 1914. He re-
ceived his schooling in Chicago,
where he met his wife-to-be,
Evelyn; they settled in Detroit
in 1942. Before becoming chief
electrical inspector of Royal Oak
in 1952, he worked as an elec.

united in marriage with Gar,3,
Lowell Sanders. Rabbi Leonard
Cahan and Cantor Nicholas Fen-
kel officiated.
Miss Linden is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Linden of Rue
Versailles St., Oak Park. Mr. San-
ders. of Northgate Blvd.. Oak Park,
is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Sanders.
'The bride's Empire gown of silk
organza and appliques of Swiss
lace had an open neckline, short
sleeves and chapel train. Her
shoulder-length veil of silk illusion
was attached to a silk organza cap
with matching lace appliques. She
carried a Bible with orchids and
trailing foliage.
Mrs. Sheldon Davis was matron
of honor, and Mrs. Philip Levine
of California also attended the
bride. Howard Jacobs was best
man, and Michael Swarin, usher. ,
The couple will honeymoon in
Cartagena and Bogota, Colombia, i -
and on their return will reside in
Tray.
