VERY HAPPY people are
Sol and Mary Grenadier . . . The
lost bracelet itemed in last week's
column as found by Elsie Rapoport
(George's frau), is back on Mary's
wrist . . . A sentimental keepsake
that no money on earth can buy,
it includes charms for each of their
six grandchildren and one given to
Mary from Sol on their 25th anni-
versary in 1924.
NO MATTER HOW GOOD it is,
people will always find some kind
of fault with a hospital . . sery.
ice, food, anything . . . Dr. Julien
Priver, executive vice president
and head man, has done every-
thing within his power to make
Sinai Hospital the very fine insti-
tution it is today . . . The extremly
well-kept and excellently-run Sinai
Hospital is a credit to Dr. Priver
and all who work with him to make
it such day by day ... Every insti-
tution has its faults according to
the likes. dislikes and desires of
individuals, and Sinai is no excep-
tion . . . But where they ,:an be
corrected, it is done post haste at
Sinai . . . as an admirable credit
to Dr. Priver and his staff.
ITS ANTIQUE ROW Sidewalk
Bazaar time again on Hamilton
from Six Mile Rd.. starting at Flo
Scheff's Antiques, and going south-
ward about seven blocks . . . Date
is June 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
with 50 additional dealers who'll he
on the street for the annual occa-
sion . . . plus the 21 in-store regu
tars.
KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS, Detroit
Lodge 55. is close to selling its
castle hall building on Wyoming
. . Just a matter now of which
bid to take - . . Reason for selling
is change in neighborhood and
members say they'll come in
droves if another site is gotten ..
Good suggestion is given by mem-
ber Milt Hubert . . . Rent a place
for a month and see if this is the
answer!
SCENE IN A NORTHLAND
store . . . After the salesgirl had
patiently assembled a collection of
sweaters for the cute teen-ager, the
young girl finally tried one on and
said, "This sweater fits perfectly.
I'll take the next size smaller."
YOUNG WOMAN, OBVIOUSLY
a newlywed, came into Sentry
Drugs in Oak Park last week, and
asked anxiously if the baby tonic
advertised by the store really
makes babies bigger and stronger
. . . Pharmacist Herb Racklin be-
hind the counter replied that there
had been no complaints on it and
that they sell quite a bit of it - . .
"I'll take a bottle," said the wom-
an, who then asked Herb in a whis-
per, "Who takes the tonic, me or
my husband?"
THIS TAKES THE CAKE DEPT.
. . . Driving down a side street re-
cently, barrister Mike Hechtman
barely avoided colliding with a
woman driver who had suddenly
turned into her home driveway ...
He bitterly asked the lady why
she didn't signal and she replied,
"Why should I? I always turn
here!"
CALLING EVELYN GOTTLIEB
... a student at Wayne in 1951 ...
Remember when you got on the
Dexter bus and took the only
empty seat, next to a harmless
looking drunk? . . . You opened a
detailed map of Manchuria which
you were studying . .. The drunk
studied the map for a long time
too, and finally asked, "Are you
sure you're on the right bus?"
