A reception arranged by the
Center for Health Education, at
Wayne State University McGre-
gor Building, Tuesday honored Dr.
John M. Dorsey
on the appear-
ance of his new
. book, "American
Government:Con-
scions Self Sover-
eignty."
The new book
was introduced at
this gathering and
the associates and
friends of Dr. Dr. Dorsey
Dorsey. who is the WSU Professor,
acclaimed his labors in evaluating
American ideals and various as-
pects of our government in his im-
pressive new work.
Dealing with civil disobedience,
the historical aspects of diplomacy,
religious liberty, experiences dur-
ing displays of civil disobedience,
the new Dorsey ,Work is a determ-
ined task to emphasize that the
"American way of life . . . repre-
sents reverence for the sacred inte-
grity of individual human beings."
Discussing "My American Gov-

ernment and My Religious Lib-
erty," Dr. Dorsey asserts in one
of the chapters in his book under
that title: "My religion is my
putting my soul to sane use in
honoring all of my self as the
glory of God."

The credos of great Americans,
the objectives of the American
Founding Fathers, are amply cov-
ered in this work.
Setting forth a credo of his own,
Dr. Dorsey declares:
"I am not merely my brother's
keeper, I am my brother. It is not
difficult to understand how my
false dichotomy of 'thinking' and
'doing' established itself, when I
consider the freedom it appears to
give me to claim irresponsibility
for my living of my fellowman."
He pleads for the "indispenable
source of power; acknowledged
unity."
