Well, Danny's done it again .

this time he's off on a research

tour of some of our institutions of
higher learning . . . and while he's
gallivanting I shall attempt once
again to satisfy his legion of read-
ers who haven't been without this
column for more than 20 years.

The Leader Dog School for the
Blind at Rochester, Michigan was
made nearly $5,000 richer this
week as the result of a donation
from the Motor City Lions Club
. . With every Lions Club in
Michigan contributing to this great
school plus the financial help from
Lions Clubs in many parts of the
country, hundreds of sightless hu-
mans have been aided in their
everyday effort to be upright and
self-sustaining citizens . . . The
dogs, thoroughly trained at Roch-
ester, have literally been lifesavers

to those otherwise helpless individ-
uals . . While there is no charge
to the person being given the dog.
the latest estimate of training the
team (master and dog) has been
set at slightly higher than 32.000.

Psychologists say that no person
should try to keep too much to

himself . . Bernard Zaffern, one
of the auditors with the Internal
Revenue Service, is of the same
opinion . . . Says Bernie, "The
showing of the green is April 15th
every year, not necessarily St.
Pat's day which falls on March

17th.

If there's so much hate in the
world, how does one account for
the population explosion ... Many
of us don't know what poor losers
we are until we start dieting . . .
Happiness has a habit of pursuing
the person who feels grateful to
his God, comfortable with his ccn-

science, in favor with his friends,
in love with his labors and in

balance with his banker ... Some
speakers need no introduction—
they need conclusions . . . The
worst moment for an atheist is
when he feels grateful and has no
one to thank.

I. Robert Stahl, who together
with son Alan and sister Florence
Harris, heads the Stahl Optical
Laboratory, likes to tell this tele-
phone story: "The reason there
are so few telephones in China is
because there are so many people
with the names of Wing and Wong,
they are afraid they'll wing the
wong number." . . . My gosh, Bob,
still lisping, and at your age, too.

Worshipful Master Danny Natow
is very much thrilled at Perfec-
tin Lodge's impending official
visitation to Los Angeles . .. The
entourage will jet-fly to the west
coast metropolis on Oct. 24
and return on Nov. 3 . .
Many of the members of this Ma-
sonic Lodge are deferring their
usual summer vacations in order
to be counted among those who
will make the trip, with many side
trips and visits to places of inter-
est.

The kind of man who wants the
government to adopt and enforce
his ideas is always the kind of
man whose ideas are idiotic.—.H.
