Jerusalem Liberation
Celebration Considered

JERUSALEM (JTA)-A special
ministerial committee was appoint-
ed to decide when to celebrate
the second anniversary of the

liberation of East Jerusalem dur-
ing the June 1967 war. The com-
mittee is headed by Minister of
Justice Yaacov S. Shapiro and in-
cludes Defense Minister Moshe
Dayan and Minister for Religious
Affairs Zerach Wahrhaftig.
The date of the anniversary is
fixed in accordance with the He-
brew calendar which corresponds
this year with May 15, the date on
the general calendar of the found-
ing of the state of Israel. In the
past, that date has been selected
by Arab agitators for demonstra-
tions and strikes. The ministerial
committee must decide whether to
change the Jerusalem anniversary
date to avoid possible clashes.

Baltimore Yeshiva Aided

BALTIMORE (JTA)-The Asso-

ciated Jewish Charities has an-
nounced an "extraordinary" de-
cision to authorize a $500,000 loan
to the Ner Israel Rabbinical Col-
lege to enable the school to com-
plete its shift from a deteriorat-
ing neighborhood to a new loca-
tion.
Albert D. Hutzler Jr., AJC pres-
ident, said the loan was granted at
the request of Rabbi Herman Neu-
berger, college director, and was
approved unanimously by the AJC
board after a special committee

recommendation.
