Fur service means more than placing your furs in a cold storage vault. It means furrier expert inspection for open seams, small rips and tears, brushing and steaming. It means a constant even tempera- ture with the right degree of humidity. It means handling gar- ments separately with plenty of "breathing" room so that the air can circulate. Don't keep furs home in a cedar closet as there is neither constant circulation of air nor low enough tempera- tures to provide safe storage. Improper storage results in the loss of natural lustre-oils causing the pelts to shed, dry out and become brittle.
