According to Heinrich, the tele

phone company is not legally re-
sponsible for the contents of the

message because the name and
address of its sponsor is given. He
suggested that any action taken
would have to be against the spon-
sors. He also stated that "the tele-

Retarded Children Group
Works With Young Adults

WASHINGTON (JTA)—The Jew-
ish Foundation for Retarded Chil-
dren has started a new program
for severely retarded young adults
who have had no prior training,
in addition to its services to 120
retarded children, according to Dr.
Erwin Friedman, the foundation's
executive director. The agency has
been providing rehabilitation and
educational services since its open-
ing in fall 1957.
He declared that the work of the
agency had demonstrated that re-
moving retarded children from the
community was a wrong procedure
and that such children, when they
live in the community and use its
resources, cause less trouble than
the normal child.
