In line with its expanding pro-
gram of cooperation with Israeli
industry, the Detroit Chapter of
the American Society for Technion
is encouraging its members to be-
come overseas colleagues of the
Association of Engineers and Arch-
itects in Israel.
The chapter last year formed a
technical assistance committee to
offer expertise in various fields
necessary to Israel's economic and
defense independence. Formation
of the committee was welcomed in
Israel by the engineers and archi-
tects association, which now is
seeking professional and personal
ties with local professional people..
The Association of Engineers
and Architects in Israel is ap-
proaching its 50th anniversary
and numbers some 5,500 mem-
bers in several professional sec-
tions. Its headquarters is in Tel
Aviv, but there are "Engineers
Houses" in Haifa and Jerusalem,
as well.

troit Chapter's technical assistance
committee, invites members who
wish to form a Detroit overseas
chapter of the AEAI to contact him
for application blanks. His resi-
dence is at 31720 N. Marklawn,
Farmington, 48024.
The association provides over-
seas members with infcirmation on
prospects of employment in Israel
and extends assistance to those
who visit Israel. On these visits,
overseas members are invited to
lecture on subjects of interest to
members of the association.

troit showing — April 20-26 at

Miss Talberg, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Talberg of South-
field, is currently a junior in art
education at the University of ,
Michigan. Miss Gattegno, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Gattegno.
formerly of Huntington Woods, is a
senior in fine arts at Wayne State
University. The opening will be
Sunday, 1-4 p.m. The public is
invited to attend.
