GROSSE POINTE ROTARY's
14th annual Antique Show-Sale
April 25-27 at the War Memorial
Center, will have more outstand-
ing antique specialists from more
different cities and states than
ever before, according to an an-
nouncement by Clarence Wascher,
chairman of this year's show.
These will be several leading deal-
ers who specialize in the hard-to-
find replacement parts and match-
ing items collectors and antique
hobbyists constantly search for.
Mrs. Arthur Fishman of Oak Park
is an exhibitor. Grosse Pointe Ro-
tary depends on its annual antique
show to raise funds for civic pro-
jects, one of which will further
implement an anti-drug program
among youth.

THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY,

Ever since PA UL MAURIAT first
touched the piano at the age of
four, he has been wedded to a
musical life. The French recording
star brings his group of 30 musi-
cians to the Masonic Auditorium,
May 3. The musical youth was
struck by the new rhythmic forms
which jazz represented and by the
time he was 17, his musical sights
were set on combining his classical
training with the improvisational
freedom of jazz. In 1966, after a
successful career in Paris as a
conductor and arranger for many
French stars, Mauriat formed his
first orchestra.

EUGENE ORMANDY, who leads
the PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA
in concert at Masonic Auditorium,
8:20 p.m., Wednesday, has led the
ensemble for 33 years, the longest
tenure held by the leader of any
major American orchestra. From
the time he assumed leadership in
1936, he has brought new glories to
the orchestra, not the least of
which is the unque "Eugene
Ormandy-Philadelphia Orchestra
Sound."
▪ a a
GUY LOMBARDO and the
ROYAL CANADIANS, who come to
the Masonic Auditorium, May 10,
feature French-Belgian singing
star, Tonia Bern-Campbell, and
handsome vocalist Tony Cointreau.

lishment. During the trade fair,
seminars and study meetings cov-
ering a number of aspects of the
hotel industry will take place.
Local achievements in this field
