Louis Binstock, published by Haw-

true meaning of maturity as the
used of all human potential, and
illustrates its value from day to
day in family, social, and business
Relationships.
"Maturity is not a state of being;
it Is a state of becoming," writes
Dr. Binstock, Chicago rabbi and
family counselor. A mature person
can handle the changing circum-
stances of his life from childhood
to old age. Each state of life calls
for a different level of maturity,

child of 10 can possess the same
amount of maturity as a man of

Polish Jews Unassisted
in Ghetto Anniversary
LONDON (JTA) — Polish Jews
will mark the 26th anniversary of
the Warsaw Ghetto uprising April
19, but it will be a low-key cele-
bration organized without any of-
ficial assistance or encourage-
ment, according to Folkstimme,
the weekly publication of the Jew-
ish Cultural and Social Associa-
criteria.
Rabbi Binstock draws on the
teachings of philosophers, psychol-
ogists, and writers from biblical
times to the present to illustrate
his own principles of maturity. He
offers numerous yardsticks for as-
sessing and developing maturity in
your family, among your friends,
and at work.
A valuable feature of the book
is a Maturity Quotient test, consist-
ing of 101 questions. Following is
a sampler, which gives some idea
of the "M.Q.":
1. Do you excuse yourself with: "If
only I had the time?"
2. Do you judge others on the basis
of rumors?
3. Do you think that material gifts
can create strong friendships?
4. Do you often excuse yourself with:
"I intend to do it?"
5. Do you stubbornly say: "I've al-
ways been this way, and I can't
change?"
G. Do you get upset easily by dis-
courtesies?
7. Do you excuse yourself with: "If
only I had not had such a bad
environment when I was young?"
5.0 Do you fun' it hard to take cri-
cism?
9. Does someone else's success trou-
ble you?
10. Do you hesitate to sacrifice for a
meaningful objective?
A score of seven or more "no's"
is excellent; 6 is good; 4 fair; 3 or
under is poor.

anniversary of the ghetto revolt in
a changed situation and in new
circumstances. The activities of
our association nowadays are
much weaker than they used to
be . . . We have to organize the
commemorative program chiefly
with our own resources and this
goes both for speakers and other
personnel."

Prayers Should Include
Holocaust Remembrance'
PHILADELPHIA (JTA) — A
Jewish scholar urged Tuesday that
remembrance of the Six 'Million
Jews destroyed by the Nazis in
World War II should be incorpo-
rated into the daily prayers "just
as the memory of the Exodus
from Egypt is repeated three times
every day in our prayers."
Dr. Abraham Katsh, president
Of Dropsie College for Hebrew and
cognate Learning here, said "Jews
the world over observe the an-
nual Holocaust Remembrance Day
but the Holocaust must be a part
of our daily awareness and that
of our children who, fortunately,
knew it not." The Holocaust, he
said "should also be accorded un-
flagging repetition in our worship."
, Dr. Katsh is co-chairman of a
city-wide memorial committee for
the Six Million Jewish Martyrs
rhich will sponsor the 1989 memo-
riial service in Philadelphia April
20. He said perpetuation of the
Memory of the Jewish martyrs
from generation to generation
*ould "help prevent a recurrence
pf a Holocaust whether it be di-
kected at the Jewish peeople or
iny other group."
