Concluding Days of Passover
to Be Observed at Services
Concluding services 'for the fes-
tival of Passover will be held
Wednesday and Thursday in Orth-
odox and Conservative synago-
gues, Wednesday alone in Reform
temples. Yizkor is traditionally
recited on the last day of the holi-
day.
Temple Israel services Wednes-
day will begin at 10:30 a.m., when
Yizkor prayers will be read. Par-
ticipants in the service will be
temple high school students Leo-
nard Felder, David Hiller, Nancy
Shapiro and Janet Simons.
Cong. Beth Achim's in-town
services will be held 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday; and 8:40
a.m. Wednesday and Thursday,
when Yizkor prayers will be said.
Suburban services will be held 9
a.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Temple Emanu-El will hold
services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,
when Rabbi Milton Rosenbaum
will speak on "Remembrances,"
and Yizkor will be said.
Cong. Beth Hillel services will
be at 6:45 p.m. and 8:45 a.m.
both days. Cong. Bnai David's
evening services will be held the
same time; morning services
will be at 8:30.
Adas Shalom will hold services
8:45 a.m. Wednesday and Thurs-
day. Rabbi Leonard Cahan will
preach on "Passover in Perspec-
tive" both days.
Cong. Beth Shalom will conclude
the holiday with services at 8:50
a.m. and 6 p.m. both days. On
Thursday morning. Rabbi Morde-
cai Halpern's sermon will be on
"Let's Talk About Death."
Young Israel of Oak-Woods will
hold services 7 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday
and Thursday. Participants in
Tora reading will be members at
home from study at yeshivot
throughout the country. They are
David Yampolsky, Mark Golden-
berg, Simon Kresch, Martin Dom-
bey, Ari Kresch, Murray Platt,
Joseph Weiss, Stanley Gordon and
Michael Greenfield.
Temple Beth El will hold Yizkor
services 10:30 a.m. Wednesday,
Rabbi Morton M. Kanter will
preach on "What Can He Do?"
Yarzeit plaques will be dedicated.
Temple Beth Jacob of Pontiac
will hold concluding services
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, when Rabbi
Philip Berkowitz will speak on
"The Promise of Freedom,"
and 10 a.m. Wednesday, when
he will discuss "Amidst the
Ceaseless Tides of Change."
Cong. Bnai Moshe services will
be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday; 8:45 a.m. Wednesday
and 8:30 a.m. Thursday. New of-
ficers and board members will be
installed by Rabbi Moses Lehr-
man Thursday.
The New Temple will hold Yizkor
services 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at
the home of Dr. and Mrs. Irving
Friedman, 6000 Northfield, Birm-
ingham. Yizkor (Memorial Pray-
ers) will be said.

3rd Seder Is Arranged

Shaarit Haplaytah will hold its
annual third seder 8:30 p.m. Sat-
urday at Temple Emanu-El. Ruth
Goldman will present a program
of music and humor. Violinist
Gloria Kleinman also will be on
the program.
Passover refreshments will be
served at the traditional seder, to
which children are invited.

Music Program at Seder
Movsas Goldoftas announces that
Cantor Louis Klein and Bella Gold-
berg will participate in the third
Farband seder program 8 p.m.
Saturday at the Labor Zionist In-
stitute.
There will be a collective read-
ing of the Hagada from old and
new sources and community sing-
ing led by Mrs. Goldberg, school
children will participate. Refresh-
ments will be served.
The public, particularly mem-
bers of the Labor Zionist move-
ment, are invited for a small con-
tribution.
