Midnight Vigil Will Recall
Warsaw Ghetto Heroism

A one-hour vigil beginning 11:30
p.m. Saturday at the Jewish Cen-
ter will mark the Detroit Jewish
Community Council's annual com-
memorative program dedicated to
the memory of the victims of the
Holocaust and the martyrs of the
Warsaw Gheto.
The commemoration recalls a
tragic, yet heroic, chapter in Jew-
ish history when remnants of the
Jewish ghetto in Warsaw revolted
against the German army and
Nazi oppression.
In Detroit, the annual memorial
tribute is traditionally held just
prior to the Passover holiday since

Sfld. Mayor Feder
Raps Stadium

Southfield Mayor Norman Feder
announced that he will not support
efforts to build a domed stadium
complex in Southfield.
"On the basis of information I
have to date," Mayor Feder de-
clared, "it appears that whatever
tax income the proposed stadium
might generate would be more
than offset by requirements for
added city services and capital
outlays as well as by disruptions
to the lives of our residents."
Factors influencing his negative
attitude toward the stadium, Feder
said, included problems with traf-
fic flow, police, fire, utilities, main-
tenance and other public services
which would be needed, plus con-

If you have the idea that electric
heat is too rich for your blood,
you'd be surprised at the number
of average people who are put-

Their present homes.
You'd find—just like they — a
cleaner house than you've ever
experienced. A quiet, even heat,
completely worry-free. It's also
more comfortable—never desert

Don't wait for your next house
to enjoy electric heat. You can
afford it right now. Honest.
