field; Larry Miller of Seneca Ave., Richard Victor at- Morton Ave.,
Edward Gabe of Dante Ave., all Oak Park; and 5/ton Dzodin of
W. 13 Mile Rd., Southfield, a graduate student. The coed is Laura

Society, it is designed to focus
nationwide attention upon the need
for more extensive research into
the history of Jews in America.
"Despite the fact that the Amer-
ican Jewish community is in its
fourth century of existence,"
stated Bernard Wax, the society's
director, "the writing of a compre-
hensive American Jewish history
is yet to be accomplished, and in
very great measure this lack is
due to the absence of adequate in-
formation about local Jewish his-
tory on which all comprehensive
studies must eventually be based.''
To aid local communities in
the observance of American Jew-
ish History Week, the American
Jewish Historical Society is dis-
tributing free to Jewish educa-t,
tors, spiritual leaders and other
communal leaders an informa-
tion kit which furnishes guide-
lines on how to search out, collect
and preserve information of his-
torical value.
Included in the kit is a pamphlet
which lists motion pictures, film-
strips, kinescopes, plays and radio
scripts, all suited for use during
American Jewish History Week.
Also available are three-color
posters advertising this event.

The wisest thing to do with a fool
is to encourage him to hire a hall
and discourse to his fellow citizens.
Nothing chills nonsense like ex-
posure to the air.
—Woodrow Wilson.
