of Windsor, came back from his
recent visit to Holland . . . He
notes that in Holland, the full
menu price includes 12% tax (akin
to our sales tax) and 15% gratu-
ity, marking the prices 27% high-
er . .. Putting the gratuity on the
bill may be okay, says Kees, but
the waiters don't like it—they still
want a tip regardless . . . Other
countries are following this prac-
tice he says, and by 1970, the 12%
tax is expected to be 17%!
