Detroit General Hospital to Aid Patient Comfort
The Detroit General Hospital
League is about to celebrate its
eighth anniversary, serving the
patients in ever increasing ways.
Under the chairmanship of Mrs.
William Rea Keast and her com-
mittee, work is progressing towards
the construction of an interdenom-
inational chapel and a special wait-
ing room for families of patients in
intensivecare, critical surgery and
emergencY`eardiac.
Under the chairmanship of Mrs.
Alexander Walt and her committee,
progress is being made toward the
beautification of women doctors'
quarters and a renovation of the
nurses' quarters.
Mesdames Keast and Walt will
present fuller details concerning
these projects at the eighth anniver,..7
sary meeting 1 p.m. Monday,k
in the doctors' dining room at the
hospital.
Through the financial support of
the Detroit Chapter, National Coun-
cil of Jewish Women, a new room
will be furnished to accommodate
blood donors, patients admitted for
elective surgery and discharged
patients who must wait for trans-
portation to their homes.
