The Israel Chamber Orchestra,
which recently scored critical suc-
cesses on its European tour and
appearances in several festivals,
comes to the Masonic Temple

The orchestra was founded in
1965 by its artistic director, Gary
Bertini, upon making strenuous

Pioneer Women Buy

The Greater Detroit Shoe Re-
tailers Association designated Feb.
9-15 as "RIPPLE Sole Shoe Week"
in honor of Hack's birthday. The
announcement was made by Nor-
man Rosenfeld, president of the
shoe association and head of Sib-
ley's Shoes, Detroit area chain.
For 10 successive years, the Tuc-
son Shoe Retailers Association has
honored his birthdays with "RIP-
PLE Sole Shoe Weeks," but this
year, he decided that he could no
longer travel to that city for the
exhausting round of luncheons and
meetings.
Thus, the move of the Detroit
group which he served so long, to
honor him at home, in absentia.

An original graphic arts exhibit
presented by the London Arts Gal-
lery will introduce the WOMEN
OF WAYNE's annual fund-raising
games party, Feb. 22 at the Grosse
Pointe War Memorial. The 400-
print exhibit will be open to the
public for veiwing and for sale
