Barbara Anbender, daughter of
Mrs. Harry Anbender of South-
field Rd., Southfield, and the late
Mr. Anbender, exchanged mar-
riage vows with Leonard Koltonow,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kolto-
now also of Southfield Rd., at Cong.
Bnai David.
Rabbi Aaron Brander and Can-
tor Hyman J. Adler officiated.
The bride wore a peau de soie
Empire gown, the bodice appliqu-
ed with seed pearls, topped by a
full-length matching coat.
The bridal party consisted of
matron of honor, Mrs. Mel Was-
serman; and bridesmaids, Joyce
Mehler, Gail Ryder, Debbie Felch,
Carolyn Koltonow, Janet Anbender
and Shelly Wais.
Best man was Sid Feldman, and
ushers were Ronald Grumet, Gary
Greenberg, Fred Safran, Mel Was-
serman, Stuart Tompkins, Jimmy
Kramer, Rick Agree and Ken
Anbender.

Senior Adult Shuttle Bus.
to Center in Operation

The shuttle bus service is now
under way for senior citizens in
the Northwest area who take part
in Jewish Center programs.
Until Feb. 28, the bus will leave
Blackstone Manor (Norfolk St.).
11:35 a.m.; Nine Mile (A&P Store,
on lot), 11:40 a.m.; 10 Mile-Coo-
lidge (NW corner), 11:50 a.m.; 10
Mile Jewish Center, 11:55 a.m.;

Hall, 12:15 p.m.

the public to hear Prof. Robert F.
Lawson, chairman of the music de-
partment at Wayne State Univer-
sity, 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the
WSU Music Building. A musical
theorist and composer, Prof. Law-
son has had his compositions per-
formed by the Detroit Symphony.
He will speak on electronic music,
and will accompany his lecture
with illustrations. There will be no
admission charge. Mrs. Esther
Krops is chairman of the day.

the Women of Jewish National
Fund will be held noon Tuesday
at Temple Israel, in culmination
of this year's fund-raising drive.

Paula Beth Schneider and Den-
nis Craig Jaffe recently exchang-
ed wedding vows at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
The bride is the daughter of Dr.
and Mrs. Edwin Schneider of
Twyckingham Way, Southfield. The
bridegroom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Bernard Jaffe of San Fran-
cisco.
Mrs. Stephen Jaffe of San Rap-
hael, Calif., was matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Nancy Davis
and Leslie Schneider.
Dr. Stephen Jaffe was his broth-
er's best man. Ushers were David
and Steven Schneider, brothers of
bride.
Also participating in the cere-
mony were Mrs. I. D. Nelson of
San Francisco, grandmother of
the bridegroom; and the bride's
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Jacobs of Toronto and Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Schneider of St. Peters-
burg, Fla.
Following a honeymoon trip to
New Orleans and Jamaica, the
couple will make their home in
San Francisco.

Luncheon sponsored by the North-
land Chamber of Commerce, the
Michigan Mother will be announc-
ed.
American Mothers Conference
and Awards Week will be held in
Los Angeles, April 29 at the Bev-
erly Hilton Hotel. All state moth-
ers will attend, and the Michigan
Mother's expenses will be partially
defrayed by the Northland Cham-
ber of Commerce.
This is an opportunity to search
out and honor a woman whose
devotion to her home and com-
munity has been outstanding.
Sponsored by an organization,
whether it be civic or synagogue
organization, is very desirable. In-
dividuals also may make nomina-
tions.

Annual Donor Tea

This year's "Pillars of Courage"
program contributors also will be
recipients of a plaque. To date
said Mrs. Chanin, there are 130
names on the Pillars of Courage
in Gadot, Israel.
Mrs. Morris Adler, recently re-
turned from an extended trip to
Israel, will be guest speaker. Mrs.
Pearl Nosan, program chairman,
said a musical program will fea-
ture Marci Lyn Rose. Miss Rose
will be accompanied on the piano
by Grant Wolach.

To commemorate a full year of
activities, Jewish Young Adults
will celebrate its first anniversary
with a grand ball, 8:30 p.m. Sun-
day.
Joan Friedman and Gloria Gern-
stein, co-chairmen of the dance
committee, said the affair is to be
semiformal. Refreshments will be
served, and entertainment will be
supplied by John Weldon and his
orchestra.
Other features include the pres-
entation of a special gavel to
Larry Leslie, president of the
Young Adult Planning Committee,
for his efforts over .the past year.
There will be a photographic dis-
play of the year's activities. Prizes
will be awarded.
