National Convention of Nshei Chabad to Be 'Here

Detroit will host the seventh an-
nual midwinter convention of Nshei
Ubnos Chabad, Feb. 7-9.
Participating will be delegates
from Nshei Chabad chapters
throughout the United States and
Canada, as well as members of
Nshei Chabad study groups and
friends of Lubavitch in Detroit.

Theme of the convention is: "The
Jewish Home: A Spiritual Fortress
in a Tumbling Materialistic
World." Guest speaker will be
Rabbi Sholom Ber Gordon of Cong.
Ahavath Zion, Maplewood, N.J.
The main session of the conven-
tion will take place 12:30 p.m. Feb.
9 at the Young Israel of Oak-
Woods. Dinner will be served by
reservation. Highlights of the week-
end include, an oneg Shabat, me-
lave malka, and reports of Nshei
Chabad activities in the U.S.

Humanism at Temple

a special lecture in the series "The
Place of Humanism in World Phil-
osophy" will be delivered by Mau-
rice Geary, former Catholic priest
and civil rights leader, 8:30 p.m.

"Catholicism and Humanism"
