Temple Beth El's 8:30 service will feature a performance of Handel's "Judas Maccabeus" by the augmented temple choir and chorale, under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Jason H. Tickton, with Rabbi Richard C. Hertz as narra- tor. Temple Beth Jacob will com- memorate Hanuka with the parti- cipation of religious school students Jeff Goldfarb, Chris Gordon, Sue Gordon, Dean Manhoff, Marc Metz- ger, Scott Scolnick and David Singer in the candle-lighting serv- ice, 8:30 p.m. Cong. Bnai Moshe's religious school will dedicate the first-grade students to Jewish learning at 8:15 p.m. Rabbi Moses Lehrman and Cantor Louis Klein will distribute gifts to the children. Temple Emanu-El's service at 7:45 will feature a cantata, "The First Hanuka," by the junior choir, directed by Abraham Silver, mu- sical director, with the narrative assistance of Rabbi Milton Rosen- baum. Mrs. Albert M. Stutz and Rabbi Rosenbaum composed the cantata which tells the holiday story. Participants in the service will be members of the temple youth group.
