More than a quarter million signatures on petitions, urging U
Thant to put the question of the violation of human rigths of Soviet
Jewry on the agenda of the General Assembly, are presented to J.
Russell Wggins (center), U.S. representative to the United Nations.
The presentation was made on the 20th anniversary of the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights by Lewis H. Weinstein (right), chairman
of the American Jewish Conference on Soviet Jewry; and Rabbi Israel
Miller, immediate past chairman, along with representatives of the
25 national major Jwish organizations comprising the Conference.
