Detroit Round Table to Give V. E. Boyd to Harvey Schlesinger
Award at Annual Brotherhood Dinner
Virgil E. Boyd, president of
Chrysler Corp. will be honored by
the Detroit Round Table of the Na-
tional Conference of Christians and
Jews at the 1968 Brotherhood Din-
ner 7 p.m. Sunday at Cobo Hall.
Robert M. Frehse, executive di-
rector, said an award will be
presented _Boyd "in recognition of
his numerous contributions to
brotherhood and his many valuable
services in our community."

Jewish Youth Group Give
Plaque Honoring Danes
NEW YORK (JTA)—The North
American Jewish Youth Council,
coordinating body for 23 national
Jewish youth organizations in the
United States and Canada, pre-
sented a plaque to Consul General
G. F. K. Harhoff of Denmark in
recognition of the rescue of 7,000
Danish Jews from the Nazis in
World War II through the united
efforts of the Danish people.
The presentation was made by a
delegation headed by Jerry M. Ep-
stein, chairman of the council.
Harhoff spoke in reply. The youth
council has initiated programs
throughout the country to com-
memorate the rescue of the Danish
Jews. It also sponsors a scholar-
ship fund for the benefit of Danish
students.
