songster starlets on the local hor-

tion are definite indications of her
rise in show business . . Bar-
bara's magnificent song styling at-
tributes in both pop and classical
are rolled up info that so very im-
portant seven-letter word that will
take her a long way toward even-

excellently portrayed by Michael
Goodman in "Death of a Sales-
man" at the University of Detroit
Theater . He gives a truly fine
performance with such depth of
feeling, so much a necessity in
this expressive role.

Thanksgiving Schedule
for 'The Lion in Winter'

The Music Hall Theater has an-
nounced the Thanksgiving holiday
schedule of "The Lion in Winter,"
starring Peter O'Toole and Kath-
erine Hepburn.
The 2 p.m. matinees have been
expanded to five days, running
Wednesday through Dec. 1. Regu-
lar performances continue at 8:15
each evening and Sunday at 7:30
p.m. All showings are on a re-
served-seat basis.
"The Lion In Winter," hailed by
film-goers and critics as "Academy
Award material," brings to the
wide screen an eventful day in
the life of Henry II, king of Eng-
land, and Eleanor of Aquitaine, his
wife.

Institute of Arts Invites
Groups to Take New Tour

The Detroit Institute of Arts
Founders Society, which has been
offering an "Afternoon of Art" -to
club groups for the past four years,
announces a new guided tour this
season at the museum.
Groups of 8 to 80 persons may
reserve the Rivera Court for lunch-
eon followed by an hour tour of the
galleries, Tuesday or Wednesday
through April 30. For information,
