Dr. Franklin M. Zweig, dean of
the school of social welfare, State
University of . New York at Buffa-
lo, will open the Adas Shalom
Adult Study Institute 9 p.m. Tues-
day at the synagogue.
This will be the first of a series
of 12 guest lectures, theme for
which is "Living in Times of Ten-
sion."
Dr. Zweig, whose subject will
be "Tensions in Modern Life,"
was an associate
professor in the
school of social
work at Wayne
State University.

on Jewish art has been published
by the National Council on Art in
Jewish life.
Entitled "Readings on Jewish
Art," the 50-page booklet includes
critiques, reviews and reports that
have appeared in various art jour-
nals over the last 10 years.
Issuance of the publication was
announced by Rabbi Moshe David-
owitz, chairman of the Council on
Art in Jewish Life, which is spon-
sored by the American Jewish
Congress. Rabbi Davidowitz is cur-
ator of the Spertus Museum of
Judaica in Chicago and a faculty
member of the College of Jewish
Studies there.
