Great Lakes Unit to Get
Natl. Women's Award
The Great Lakes Chapter of
Women's Branch, Union of Ortho-
dox Jewish Congregations of Amer-
ica, will receive the "Wreath of
Grace Award" for its exceptional
accomplishments in the advance-
ment of Tora standards, at the
national biennial convention next
week at the Monsey Park Hotel,
Monsey, N.Y.
Mrs. Kurt J. Hertz, who will lead
the Detroit delegation, will accept
the award on behalf of the chapter,
of which she is president.
Among its projects which earned
the honor are the supplying of
frozen kosher food trays to hospital
patients and nursing home resi-
dents; town hall lecture series;
promotion of certified kosher food
products; and support, through
luncheons and teas, of the Stern
College , of Women, Yeshiva Uni- •
varsity.
Other area residents who will
attend the convention are Mes-
