The High Holy Days are over
when we prayed that it may bring
happiness to our families whose
health it is our task to preserve.
Here are recipes that will nourish
our families and that they will
relish.

Baked Halibut
4 individual halibut steaks
!I, lb. butter
Juice of one lemon
1 medium onion, sliced
1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
1 /4 cup water
11/2 tablespoons grated Swiss cheese
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Ai•range halibut steaks in thickly but-
tered shallow oven-proOf dish. Peel and;
s ice lemon and onion and arrange
slices over fish. Season with pepper and
salt to your taste and add one-half cup
of water to pan. Mix together bread-
crumbs, grated cheese and chopped
parsley. Sprinkle this over steaks and
dot with rest of butter. Pre-heat 350-
degree oven and bake halibut steaks
25 minutes. Serve sprinkled with
chopped parsley. Serves four.

Parsley Potatoes
4 large Idaho potatoes
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons chopped parsley .
Peel and cut potatoes in 11/2-inch
cubes. Cook uncovered in boiling, salt-
ed water over high heat for 15 minutes.
Drain quickly. Replace in pot over high
heat for 20 seconds to allow all liquid
to evaporate so that potatoes look
floury and fluffy and even fall apart a
little. Place in a heated serving dish
with two tablespoons of butter in the
middle. Sprinkle with chopped parsley
Serves four.
