Andersen, Danish ambassador to
Canada, told a meeting that the
events of October 1943 did not
merit any special commendation
since the Danes did the only nor-
mal and natural thing—to befriend
and protect their fellow-Danes.
That, he said, was exactly what
the Danes felt about their fellow
Jewish citizens in 1943 and in 1968.
More than 350 people, including
