former rabbi of the temple, who
died in 1948. Purpose of the series
is to provide increased knowledge

'J.B.' for Center Theater

"Preview of a Play, 'J.B.,' a
Dramatic Insight into the Human
Condition," will be the Center
Theater program 8:30 p.m. Thurs-

Amsterdam Cancels
Exhibition From Prague

AMSTERDAM (JTA)—The Am-
sterdam Municipality announced
it has canceled plans for an exhi-
bition of Jewish liturgical objects
from Prague because of the recent
events in Czechoslovakia.
J. Van Rallte, of Rotterdam, a
Dutch-Jewish writer, has been
elected president of the association
of journalists of Holland, it was
announced.
