(JTA) — A 17- year-old Jewish girl has won the title of Miss American Teen-Ager in the ninth annual pageant here. The winner is 17-year-old Fran Garten of Great Neck, N.Y., who was one of 53 national final- ists. She is a senior at Great Neck high school. More than 250,000 girls entered this year's contest. Miss Garten is active in school programs and in volunteer activi- ties. She won a 1969 car, an all- expense-paid trip to Florida and to Hollywood where she will be given tryouts for roles in national tele- vision programs.
