The Hannah Schloss Old Timers Annual Memorial Service - will be held 8 p.m. Thursday at the Jew- ish Center's Shiffman Hall, it was announced by Harry T. Madison, president of the Hannah Schloss Old Timers, and Harry Pliskow, chairman for the memorial serv- ices. Rabbi Leon Fram of Temple Is- rael will deliver theprincipal ad- dress, and Cantor Harold Orbach will chant the El Mole Rahamim. The service will honor the de- parted members of the 'Hannah Schloss Old Timers. The room holds the organization's memorial plaque, which contains the names of departed members, and trophies and mementos dating back over 50 years. Kennedy Memorialized by Mizrachi Women NEW YORK (JTA) — The late Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was mem_ orialized here Sunday_ in a post- humous presentation, of the 1968 "Annual America-Israel Friend- ship Award" of the Mizrachi Women's Organization of America. In a ceremony approved by the Kennedy family, the citation was accepted by the late Senator's col- league, Senator Jacob K. Javits, at the America-Israel Friendship dinner of the organization's 43rd annual national convention. In addresses, Yosef Tekoah, Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, said the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia has strengthened Arab intransigence, and Sen. Javits said the Russians' preoccupation with problems in Czechoslovakia may induce the Kremlin "leader- ship to scale down its provocative a&ivities in the Middle East." The organization re-elected Mrs. Aaron Leifer of Brooklyn as its na- tional president and adopted a budget of $1,495,000 to continue and expand its child care, youth aliya, education and social serv- ice programs in Israel.
