`Anti-Semitism
Still Alive in U.S.'

"Labor in Israel" is being issued
as a new periodical by the inter-
national department of Histadrut
—the Israel Labor Federation of
Israel.
Former Detroiter Yirmiyahu
Haggai has been named editor of
the new publication.

Editor, The Jewish News:
My introduction to anti-Semitism
came in high school although it
was not a very strong acquaint-
ance. It consisted mainly of over-
hearing the use of words like
"kike" and seeing "Guns for
Arabs" written on looseleafs and
books.

of anti-Semitism until I partook in
a discussion with a rather close
Catholic friend of mine in school

heaven. . . .

of many Gentiles that Jews have
control over all the money. . . .
True, we are the majority in
suburbs such as Oak Park and
Southfield. Yet for every Oak
Park and Southfield, there are a
dozen Grosse Pointes and Dear-
borns whose Jewish populations
are practically nil although they
are probably the wealthiest sub-
urbs in Michigan. . . .
One might also wonder why there
