Adas Shalom to Host
Rabbi Henry Segal at
Bar Mitzva of Nephew
Guest preacher at Sabbath morn-
ing services Saturday at Adas Sha-
lom Synagogue will be Rabbi Hen-
ry Segal, spiritual leader of Cong.
Bnai Israel, Washington, D.C.
Brother of Adas Shalom's spir-
itual leader, Rabbi Segal has
served in the Washington pulpit
for the past 32 years. The occasion
for his visit to Adas Shalom is the
Bar Mitzva of his nephew, Jeremy
David.
Also participating in the service
will be another brother, Rabbi Sha-
lom Segal, director of the Hillel
Foundation at Temple University,
Philadelphia.

Flesch, who has
served in the Is-
rael Knesset as a
member of the
foreign affair s
and defense com-
mittees.
Prior to the
establishment of
the state of Is-
rael, he was a
member of the
Jewish Assembly
and was the
youngest member
Flesch
of the Vaad Leu-
mi, the body that proclaimed the
state of Israel in 1948. He was
elected to the Knesset in 1951 and
has represented Israel abroad on
many important occasions.
An organizer of the Maccabi
Sports and Youth Organization, he
personally participated in many
swimming meets as the captain of
Israel's water polo team. When he
came to Israel in 1933 after study-
ing law in Vienna, he joined the
Hagana and fought in the Israel
War of Independence.
Koltonow is president of Bnai
David. The leadership reception is
in advance of the Sept. 18 testi-
monial dinner, which will honor
Dr. Maurice Silverman as Bnai
David Man of the Year.

War. Young Ra-
fel, an attorney, has been a lec-
turer for the department of infor-
mation of the Israel Foreign Minis-
try and a public relations officer.
An expert on Israel's tax laws,
he has written a number of articles
for the Israel Bar Association
Quarterly. He is a graduate of the
Officers' College.
