Workers' Brunch to Be
Balfour Concert Kickoff
Gov. George Romney has ap-
pointed Boaz Siegel, law professor
at Wayne State University, to
serve as chairman of a special
arbitration board to determine the
route of 1-696 in Oakland County.
Siegel, 18055 Mark Twain, will
head a three-member panel which
will make a decision on the route
within 60 days.
Romney named the arbitrators
to bring to an end over four
years of disagreement between
city officials in Oakland County
over the route of the 26-mile
freeway.
Siegel, an experienced profes-
sional arbitrator, has been actively
engaged as a labor arbitrator since
1945. He was earlier appointed by
Romney to settle a labor dispute
at Children's Hospital.
In 1962 he was appointed by U.S.
Secretary of Labor W. Willard
Wirtz to serve on the National Ad-
visory Council on Employe Wel-
fare and Pension Benefit Plans.
