One proposal made by the young
Israelis has been to ask the Arab
youth leaders to bring their girls
along. The hostel is co-educational
and it was something of a surprise
when the Arab youth leaders
showed up without any girls
among them. Club and youth ac-
tivities in East Jerusalem are al-
most exclusively for boys with
the exception of those run by the
Armenian Catholic Church, it was
explained.
