22—Friday, July 26, 1968 THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS Israelis Study Expansion of Technical Education HAIFA (JTA)—In a move to implement a decision by the board of governors of the Technion, Is- rael's Instiute of Technology, to expand the undergraduate enroll- ment at the institution, the Tech- nion Council has appointed a spe- cial committee to study the expan- sion of technical education in Is- rael. The Israel government had re- quested a 40 per cent increase in student enrollment in the engi- neering faculties of the Technion to provide for an anticipated growth in demand for technical engineering personnel.
