uel M. Barenbaum were united
in marriage recently at Cong.

After a honeymoon in Miami
Beach, the couple is residing in
Evanston, Ill.
The couple's parents are Dr.
and Mrs. Aaron Taylor of Bal-
four Rd., Oak Park, and the late
Mrs. Jennie Taylor, and Mrs. Max
Randell of Chicago and the late
Mr. Morris Barenbaum.
The bride wore a gown of peau
de soie with an Empire waist. Gui-
pure lace formed a front panel
and bordered the A-line skirt and
full detachable chapel train. Her
mantilla was of silk illusion
trimmed in matching lace.
Susan Taylor served her sister
as maid of honor. Bridesmaids
were Paula Cohen, Frada Bar-
enbaum, Barbara Cascade and
Nancy Yost. Gayle Young was
flower girl.
Sheldon Cohen was the best man.
Ira Baren, Michael Baren, Ber-
nard Mirochnick, Dr. Leib Shul-
man and Dr. Philip Cascade served
as ushers.

David I. Kaufman, 36, former I -
Recorder's Court judge, announces
his candidacy for Detroit Common
Council.
Kaufman was elected in 1966 to I
serve an interim term as Recor-
der's judge.
Nominees for two vacancies on
the nine-member .Common Council I
will be selected in the Aug. 6 pri- i
m ary.
Kaufman, a native of Boston. 1,
came to Detroit in 1955. He is a
graduate of Boston Latin School,
received his bachelor of arts de-
gree from Brandeis University
his MBA from Columbia Univer-
sity and, an LLB from Wayne
State University Law School. He
qualified as a certified public ac-
countant from the State of Michi-
gan in 1960.
- Kaufman has been active in the ,
tax and corporate fields as well
as handling a number of criminal
cases in Recorder's Court and Fed-
eral Court.

The bride wore a long-sleeved
gown of Alencon lace covered
with seed pearls and silver-
lined beads. The train, also of
lace, was completely beaded,
and the full-length veil was held
by a large beaded bow.
The bride's attendants were
Lissa Gladstone, maid of honor,
and Elaine Broder, Janice Book
and Vicki Cohen, bridesmaids.
