Committee has donated $2,000 to
AKIM. the Israeli Association for
the Rehabilitation of the Mentally
Handicapped, Mrs. Milton Kogan
of Camden Sq., Southfield, a mem-
ber of the committee, was travel-
ing in Israel last summer when
she accidentally came across a
collection box for AKIM. Her in-
terest aroused, she went on to ob-
tain some information about the
organization.
Mrs. Kogan was shown the new
sheltered workshop of AKIM go-
ing up near Tel Aviv. Upon her
return home she aroused the in-
terest of the other member's of
the Northwest Child Rescue Com-
mittee and the result was the do-
nation, which will be used to fur-
nish a room for the medical in-
spection of the trainees of the
sheltered workshop.
