The rally took place following a meeting in Munich of delegates representing 25,000 resistance fighters. Munich was the birthplace of the Nazi Party. Discussions were under way here on a proposed electoral re- form that would prevent the NPD from getting seats in the next Bundestag, West Germany's lower house. Bundestag President to Be Witness at Ex-Nazi's Trial BONN (JTA) — Dr. Eugen Ger- stenmaier president of the Bunde- stag, West Germany's lower house, will be called as a defense witness in the trial of Adolf Beckerle, the former German minister in Sofia, who is accused of having partic- ipated in the mass deportation of Bulgarian Jews during World War II. The defense cousel alleged that Dr. Gerstenmaier had contacts with Beckerle during the war. He had pleaded that there was "no El Fattah political activity" in the Gaza Strip. The other defendants received smaller sen- tences. The maximum penalty was drawn by Amran Mahmoud Assnouni, an El Fattah operations officer in the Gaza Strip who was convicted of recruiting youth to the terrorist organization, posses- sion of an arms arsenal and smug- gling arms to the Hebron region.
