A new effort was announced to
curb activities of bad check pass-
ers in the Metropolitan Detroit
market area.
Companies with combined retail
sales of hundreds of millions of
dollars a year in the Detroit area
have agreed to pool information on
bad check passers and stolen and
forged company checks, according
to Eugene T. May, president of
Comp-U-Check, Inc., a new firm
organized to provide a computer-
ized check verification service.
