MRS. RONALD SWEET

Sandra Eisman, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hyman Eisman of Church
St., Oak Park, and Ronald Sweet,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sweet
of Spring Leaf Lane, Southfield,
were united in marriage recently
at the Raleigh House. Rabbi Mil-
ton Arm and Cantor Simon Ber-
manis officiated.

Following a Florida honeymoon,
the couple is living in Oak Park.
The bride wore a satin gown
with Alencon lace at the hem-
line and sleeves. The bodice and
edge of the sleeves were worked
with pearl beading, and the at-
tached train fell to chapel length.

The bride's sister, Eileen Cohen,
was matron of honor. Barbara
Mayers was maid of honor. Brides-
maids were Norma Kirszenbaum,
Barbara Gutman, Ruth Chosid and
Cheryl Levey. 'Wendy Beth Cohen
was flower girl.

Jack Sweet was his brother's
best man. Ushers were Harvey
Eisman, Arnold Eisman, Norman
Cohen, David Stein, Martain Far-
ber and Gerald Schiener.

Representing Detroit at the recent aliya (immigration) conference
of the Association of Americans and Canadians for Aliya in New York
were Mr. Albert Best and Dr. Daniel Deitch. Robert Lapin of Ann
Arbor also attended the meeting, at which hundreds of Americans plan-
ning to settle in Israel moved to set up mechanisms by which they could
better secure jobs and housing in Israel.
The Sherman Family Club will meet 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Israel Center, 2240 Dougal, Windsor.
Mrs. Esther Weingart of Colleen Ave., Oak Park, and her family
left this week for Chicago to attend the graduation of her son, Bernard,
from the Chicago College of Osteopathy Sunday. Dr. Weingart is the
son of the late Mr. Sam Weingart.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Biller of Mark Twain Ave. recently returned
form a stay in Miami Beach.

ner-dance. Rosen-
der has been
Bnai Brith chair-
man of Israel
Bonds and Jewish
Rosender
National Fund,
conducted United Jewish Appeal
projects and is currently vice presi-
dent of Oakland Century. The cita-
tion honored Rosender for his serv-
ice to Adas Shalom Synagogue, of
which he has been a charter mem-
ber, the American Jewish Con-
gress, Jewish Theological Seminary
and the United Hebrew Schools.
It further honored him for "fund
raising and inspirational dedica-
tion to the highest ideals of our
order."

Humphrey Wins
Hillel Election

Hillel Day School students last
week conducted a presidential elec-
tion expressing preferences in their
selections from current candidates.
Vice President Hubert H. Hum-
phrey led all the candidates over-
whelmingly. He polled 45 per cent
of the total vote, 24 per cent going
to Senator Eugene McCarthy and
10 per cent to Senator Robert
Kennedy.
In the Republican column, Gov-
ernor Nelson Rockefeller led with
22 per cent of the vote, 1 per cent
going to Richard Nixon and 1 per
cent to Harold Stassen.
