Utica Jewish Center May Be Open on Sabbaths

`dies in All Curricula

GROSSINGER, N.Y. (JTA)—An
appeal that Israel studies be made
"an integral part of the curriculum
at all levels of Jewish education in
the United States" was made Sun-
day by Dr. Abraham P. Gannes in
his presidential address at the
opening of a four-day 42nd annual
conference of the National Council
of Jewish Educators here attended
by more than 200 Jewish educa-
tors in Hebrew and Jewish studies.
Dr. Gannes said he hoped the
convention would result in de-
velopment of "a broad program of
action and activities for introduc-
tion of Israeli studies into Ameri-
can religious schools."
