Danny is in the sunny climes of
Miami Beach, not as you would sup-
pose for a relaxing few days, but
as a member of the national
board of directors of the Circus
Saints and Sinners . .. The local
chapter, known as the Detroit Tent,
is being re-organized and Danny
is taking a leading part in making
this wonderful service organization
take its rightful place among the
citizenry . . . Miami Beach hap-
pens to be the scene of the na-
tional convention of the Saints and
Sinners.
Not too much underweight him-
self Jules Benigsohn, the modern
modernizer, of whom there is no
more modern, tells this cutie: "A
very stout man put a penny in a
talking weighing machine, and as
he did so a voice answered, 'One
at a time, please.' "
Furrier Harry Zausmer, whose
tenancy in the Metropolitan Build-
ing amidst a group of jewelers, is
an oddity in itself, is one English-
man who not only has not lost any
of his picturesque and proper Eng-
lish drawl, but remembers much of
Merry Old England, attests to the
following epitaph he remembers as
a youngster: "Here lies a miser
who lived for himself . . . And
cared for nothing but gathering
pelf . . . Now, where he is or how
he fares . . . Nobody knows and no-
body cares."
TRUTH WILL OUT DEP'T .. .
2nd grade students in a northwest
grammar school were asked by
their teacher to write — and hand
in — at least three things they
hated most about school . . The
parents (whom I know very well)
of one of the youngsters showed
me the paper he turned in, and it
read as follows, "1. I hate Miss
; 2. I hate Butch; 3. I
... The name
hate Miss
in both nos. 1 and 3 was the name
of the teacher . . . Neither of the
parents thought it was very funny,
but did tell me they thought the
teacher would have used better
judgment had she asked what the
students liked BEST about school.

Stubblefield.
Richard Davis was best man.
Ushers were Steven Kushner,
brother of the bridegroom, Dr.
Howard Newman, brother of the
bride, Kenneth Kudisch and Leon
Meyers.
Following a New England hon-
eymoon, the couple will live in
Cincinnati while Mr. Kushner con-
tinues his studies at the Hebrew
Union College.
