Sus- man wrote a series of articles based on highlights of the trip, which appeared in newspapers and magazines throughout the country. Susman is a director of t h e Pittsburgh Hous- ing Authority and a member of the national adminis- trative committee of t h e National Conference o f Christians a n d Jews. He serves on the boards of several civic and philanthropic agencies, and was formerly ac- SUSMAN tive as a leader of the YM and YWHA of Pittsburgh. He is mod- erator of a weekly television show on current events over Channel 13, Pittsburgh. Susman has also surveyed the United Jewish Appeal work in North Africa and Europe, visiting children's homes, clinics, hospitals and vocational training schools. As a member of a special team during the war, Susman investi- gated conditions in. the concen- tration camps of Dachau, Buch- enwald, Auschwitz and others. Susman attended Harvard Uni- versity and the Pittsburgh Law School.
