Friday, March 22, THE DETROIT JEWISH NEWS BREVITIES A new edition of the Orthodox Union PASSOVER PRODUCTS DI- RECTORY, containing a record listing of rabbinically - certified kosher for Passover products, has been published by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. Copies may be obtained by sending in a self - adressed, stamped envelope to Orthodox Union, 84 5th Ave., New York. The University of Detroit pro- duction of Andre Obey's "NOAH" will be a home-grown translation direct from the French original which makes it a different play than the one produced in New York some seasons ago, according to James Rodgers, U. of D. theater director. The U. of D. production will be seen three weekends of March 22-24, 29-31 and April 5-7. * * The planned door-to-door MARCH FOR HEMOPHELIA in late April will involve 6,500 marchers covering 130,000 homes in 32 areas. The goals are 3,000 units of blood and $30,000 in con- tributions. Although there is no known cure for hemophilia, recent improvements in the treatment have helped consisderably. How- ever, there are still many parts of the country that either lack proper care facilities, are inadequate or non-existent. Until recently, the hemophiliacs have received little help, little understanding and al- most no support in their fight against this hereditary disease which inhibits the coagulation of blood that stops bleeding, result- ing in great loss of blood from even a small scratch. * * * FERRANTE and TEICHER, who bring their twin pianos to Masonic Auditorium 8:20 p.m. Saturday, had to truck the instruments around the country by themselves during their first season.
