This compares to the same cards amounting to $365,299 in 1967. Chairman Gilbert Y. Ruben- stein urged all workers to see their remaining prospects now and help achieve a successful wind-up. A series of campaign report meetings has been sched- uled, with a victory dinner plan- ned for April 28. `From Shtetl to Broadway' to Close Cultural Series on Musical Note The Forum '68 cultural series will conclude 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Temple Beth El with a pro- gram, "From Shtetl to Broad- way," in • which Norman Atkins and Terry Saunders will trace the migration of Jewish melodies from their origins to Israel and Broad- way. Atkins has produced a musical odyssey that begins in the shtetl of sisted by Miss Saunders, who has been seen as leading lady opposite Robert Wade in the Broadway and national companies of "Milk and Honey" and as Lady Thiang in the film "The King and I" with Yul Brynner and Deborah Kerr. Atkins also is cantor of the Metropolitan Synagogue of New York. Tickets may be purchased at the door. BUICKS Hebrew at Beth Israel, Lectures at Beth El Mark Adult Programing Col. Stella Levy, commander of Israel's Women's Army Corps, helped the UJA Women's Division in Flint achieve a victory of its own, at the campaign opening luncheon, where a total of $14,600 in gifts was announced. With her here are (from left) Mrs. Sidney Wolin, Mrs. Gilbert Y. Rubenstein and Mrs. Asher Marder, women's division chairmen, and. Mrs. Jossef Kratzenstein, chairman of the Bay City Women's division, which sent a number of its leaders to the luncheon. Richard, a law student at Wayne State Uni- versity, is president of Tau Epsilon Rho Fraternity at WSU. `Israel Must Change to Attract U.S. Aliya' NEW YORK- (JTA) — Immigra- tion is the matter of greatest im- portance to the future security of Israel and the future of the Zionist movement, the executive commit- tee of the United Zionists-Revis- ionists of America was told here by Joseph Klarman, member of the Jewish Agency Executive in Jerusalem representing the Revis- ionist movement. But, according to Klarman, Israel will have to change its economic and social order to attract large-scale immi- gration, especially from among American Jews. The Revisionist leader came here to confer on the movement's aliya plans which will be the main topic on the agenda of the World Zionist Congress in Jerusalem in June.
