puses. Dr. Hoch-
berg came from
the Cleveland
Symphony Or-
chestra to the
Detroit Sym-
phony as a con-
cert master. He
Dr. Hochberg left the orches-
tra last year to assume the post
of violinist-in-residence and pro-
fessor of strings in the music
department at Wayne State Uni-
versity.

synagogus social hall. Rabbi and
Mrs. Benjamin H. Gorrelick will
present the program, "An Institute
on Passover." There will be a
model seder table set up in addi-
tion to display of hagadas. The

Mrs. Bernard Gaspas, vice presi-
dent. Refreshments will be served.

'Living With Your Teen-Ager' Is Topic
of Beth Shalom Sisterhood Institute

"Variations on a 'Minor' Theme
1968—(Living With Your Teen-
Ager)" is the theme of an all-day
institute to be held by the Sister-
hood of Cong. Beth Shalom starting
9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the syna-
gogue.
Dr. Morton Siegel, director of
the department of education of the
United Synagogue of America and
former director of its department
of youth activities, will be guest
speaker. Rabbi Mordecai S. Hal-
pern on Beth Shalom will deliver
the keynote address.
Dr. Morris Weiss, child psychia-
trist; Gerald Teller, assistant rabbi
of Cong. Shaarey Zedek; and Dr.
Albert Rosenthal, obstetrician and
gynecologist, will discuss the re-
lationship of the teen-ager to the
synagogue and home.
Donald Bantle, administrative
director, Oakland County Child
Guidance Clinics; Samuel Ler-
ner, director of the Jewish
Family and Children's Service;
Sidney Selig, director of educa-
tion at Beth Shalom Religious
School; and Loren Disbrow, prin-
cipal of Berkley High School,
will explore the problems facing

the teen-ager in his relations
with the community and educa-
tional institutions of today.

Sculptor Harvey Steingold explains his welded steel work "The
Trumpeter" to Mrs. Murray Mahlin (center) and Mrs. Hyman
Blinder, chairmen of the art show to be included in the annual
Temple Israel Sisterhood Antique Fair March 24-26 at the temple.
