Dough:
.2 lb. cream cheese
1/2 lb. butter
21/2 cups flour
1 tablespoon sweet cream
Blend above ingredients with a pastry
blender and refrigerate overnight.
Filling:
1 lb. tekiar
dried apricots

Dough:
11/2 cups flour
teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
lb. margarine or any vegetable fat
11/2 tablespoons white vinegar
11/2 tablespoons ice water
Combine 1 cup of the flour, salt and
margarine or vegetable fat and with a
pastry blender, blend same until it is
like small pebbles. Mix egg yolks well.

1/2 cup of flour. Mix mixture together
and refrigerate overnite. Next day roll
dough it-Inch thick, cut into 3-inch cir-
cles, place some of the filling on each
circle. Pinch edges of circle together

Filling:
1: cup of sugar
1 cup water
lb.ground mohn
1 tablespoon any jelly
1 tablespoon grated orange rind
juice 1/2 orange
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 medium apple peeled and grated
Cook altogether until light consis-
tency and refrigerate overnight. May
add raisins or chopped nuts to the
above.
Cancer in Israel

on Rise in Women
The cancer mortality rate among
women in Israel has risen 8 per
cent since 1951, the second highest
increase in the world, according
to research conducted by Metro-
politan Life Insurance Co.
Mortality from cancer of the
breast, which is the principal com-
ponent of cancer death rate for
white women in the United States,
has risen 42 per cent in Israel.
Italy showed the largest death
rate from cancer, with a 12 per
cent rise.
In Israel in 1962-3, among the
Jewish population, there were re-
ported 126.2 deaths from cancer
for every 1,000 women. Of this
figure, 14.1 died from stomach can-
cer (down 27 per cent); 8.4 from
intestinal cancer (up 50 per cent);
3.4 from cancer in the rectum (up
17 per cent); 13.6 from I biliary
passages and liver cancer (up 20
per cent) and 5.3 from pancreas
cancer (up 8 per cent).
The figure also includes 6.2
deaths from lung and bronchus
cancer (up 5 per cent); 25 from
breast cancer (up 42 per cent);
6.8 from uterus cancer (down 21
per cent); 7 from ovary cancer
(up 9 per cent); 1.5 from urinary
organs cancer (up .15 per cent)
and 6.4 from leukemia (up 31 per
cent).
Of the 1,000 women, 28.5 died of
cancer located in sites not
indicated.

New Equipment Fund of the facil-
ity, expected to be completed next

Antique Show at the Masonic
Temple March 28-31.
