`Certain Country' Sends
10,000 Youth to Israel
JERUSALEM (ZINS) — An in-
creased number of youths from a
certain country — Israeli news-
papers fail to name it — are ar-
riving in Israel. Yitzhak Artzi, the
head of the Jewish Agency Youth
Department, said the the Six-Day
War had a tremendous impact
upon that unnamed country's 70,-
1 000 Jews, and about 10,000 of them
have already departed. Artzi noted
that prior to the war, aliya from
that country was a mere trickle.
JERUSALEM (JTA) — Israel's
new united Labor Party Tuesday
formally asked President Zalman
Shazar to be a candidate for an-
other term in office.
President Shazar's five-year term
expires this spring.
He is expected to be the only
presidential candidate.
