Louis H. Luckoff, Advertising Executive, 66 Statewide tributes are being paid to the memory of Louis H. Luckoff, prominent advertising executive, founder and president of Luckoff Advertising A gene y, who died Tuesday in Highland, Ill. He was 66. Funeral services were held Thursday at Kaufman Chapel. Surviving are his wife, Ruth, to whom he was married 42 years; two sons, Alan, who was associ- ated with him in the advertising business, and Michael of Deerfield, Ill.; four sisters, Mesdames Saul (Sadie Keilien, Rose Cohen, Fanny Sorkin and Anna Kosoff; and four grandchildren. Prior to founding the L. H. Luck- off Co. advertising agency, Mr. Luckoff wes co-founder here of the Bass-Luckoff agency after moving to Detroit from home city of Syra- cuse in 1928. Later, he was associ- ated with the firm of Luckoff and Wayburn. A nationwide search is on for Mr. Cobitz's 1967 red Chevrolet Impala, which police surmise was taken by the murderer or murderers. Police Capt. Leo Hazen said the murder probably took place elsewhere Sat- urday night or early Sunday and the body brought to the location where it was found Monday. The victim's mother, Mrs. Jennie Cobitz, had been staying in Ann Ar- bor with her daughter following the death of Mrs. Cobitz's husband, Samuel, Feb. 7.
